The art of writing well is never truly mastered.
You and I are both students of the word, but on any given day it is easy to feel at the mercy of language. Appropriate and precise expression can be hard to find.
Becoming a writer is a very personal journey for me. As a copywriter, I share the skills I’ve honed along the way.
What I Write
I’ve refined my writing through a variety of genres.
Creative writing is my first love, but this quickly expanded to include academic writing, reviews, and educational outreach. My writing projects span hospitality, retail, pharmacy, speech writing, and the secondary educational sectors. I have broad experience combined with attention to detail.
Why I Write
Communication is the cornerstone of success. When you can marry the right ideas with the right audience, magic can happen. I’m in the business of connecting ideas to the right words and phrases to best position you to connect with your audience.
Writing is a mixture of art, inspiration, but most of all persistence. Writing for different people and developing written communication that drives interest, loyalty, and success is at the heart of what I do.
A little about me but make it poetic
I started writing as a child. Creative writing was a great outlet, and I achieved some moderate success which encouraged me to continue.
I turned to the Arts at university and honed my writing through research as I completed my Honours and PhD.
I stepped out into the world and jumped into writing. As I progressed, I began to manage projects, becoming an editor and a content expert along the way. Finally I rose to become editor-in-chief.
My love of words, their power and their uses, nourishes me. I find the call to write for different audiences a source of creative encouragement. I understand that copywriting is a business and an art. Understanding your vision is the foundation of my work.
